LIVERPOOL WINTER MEET
At the first meet in the New Year there were some fantastic swims, with Elliot Otty, Josh Moniz, Lauren Cheston and Charlotte Disley all making National qualifying times so early in the season. Along with numerous North West qualifying times in Tom Birtles, Daniel Boal, Josh Chapman, Jack Swainson, Olivia Disley, Oliver Fairway, Cameron Fenton, Jade Forster, David Gillard, Jacob Lever, Jordan Macdonald, Zoe Patrickson, Ryan Rimmer, Alec Scott and Jack Scott (who has previously qualified for National events prior to this meet), Ethan Clark, Sam Delmonte, Ollie Atkinson, Laura Hyland, William O’Donnell and Steven Taylor. There were also loads of Lancashire County qualifiers among the swimmers. Well done to all who competed and brought back the top overall club award ahead of some of the North West and Countries top clubs.

NATIONAL SWIMMING LEAGUE
This was previously known as the Speedo League and every year they have a virtual gala from the regions finals and I pleased to say we are thirty first top team, at senior level in the country. The top twenty make the National A and B finals in Sheffield later in the year. For Southport it is a fantastic achievement to be ranked in such a position but one of our goals has to be to make one of those finals in the future. To put it in perspective, in total throughout the country there is in excess of 500 teams who take part with the top teams full of international swimmers.
